Why He is Interested in our Career

There is only one reason why God is so much interested in our career.

That is why He will do everything to ensure we attain that reason which is found in Matthew 5:16.

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Letting our light so shine to the world to glorify God is not a day’s journey, it is a process of refining which is not always sweet until the end.

This is why Apostle Paul says in Romans 8:18,

“For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”

‭‭We need to understand that the light doesn’t just shine. There are three stages of maturity that we go through before the shining.

The first is learning. Here we get to know the truth about ourselves and that we are ambassadors of Christ in our places of work. This comes with understanding that we are not like every other person but we are in a process of reflecting His glory.

There is also the phase of testing. This is actually the stage we are proven whether we can truly be His light. The hardest place to shine is the workplace, hence the need for us to be tested. We must prove that we are not easily carried away by the office weights that easily beset us.

God put Abraham to test before he became identified as father of faith and before he became the man through whom the nations of the earth would be blessed.

We have to be proven to be able to shine the light

And then comes the phase of shining. Only those who have been tested that can truly shine their light before all men.

Until we have gone through all these stages, we will not be partnering with God to fulfill the reason He is interested in our career.

God bless you.
