5 Things to do this season

This is a trying time globally for everyone no doubt, but It is also the best of times for those in Christ who are wise.

Every bad time always has it’s corresponding good time. There is seed time, there is also the time of harvest, there is night, followed closely by day time. Ecclesiates 3:1-8 puts this clearly.

This period, no matter how bad, will be replaced with it’s corresponding good time.

While it is certain that the light at the end of the tunnel will show up, it is not automatic that it is everyone that started the journey that will get to the end of the tunnel to see the light.

Before you let your mind wonder far, this is not speaking of physical death, but survival by  those who know how to navigate through the season.

It is true that the challenges of this time created money making opportunities for some while others have lost their sources of income as the product or service they provide is no longer essential.

Same way some jobs will not survive this period while other skills are going to be in high demand.

My aim of writing today is to share with you some tips on what you can do at this time to be part of those who will see the light on the other side of the tunnel.

Here are a few points to meditate and act on

1. Acknowledge the truth

There is no point pretending that things are okay or that they will be the same again, we need to acknowledge that. Of utmost importance however is the acknowledgement of God’s truth about you and this period.

What has God said about you and the situation you are going through? Has He not said you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a peculiar nation?

I love the part of the ’chosen generation’ most because it means that I am chosen for a time like this and if He also said that His thoughts towards me are good and not of evil to give me an expected end, then I would rather rejoice because when I go through the fire of this period, ain’t going to be consumed.

What is God’s truth for you at this time?

2. Be at peace with the truth.                          Acknowledging the truth is just a part of the equation, you must be at peace with it before you can experience it. It is okay to remember that this is not the best of time, and how bad things have or may become but it is out of place to worry about it. Rather, meditate on the promises and this is where your strength should come from.  You should let your faith take over your fear. It is the truth that you know and accept that will set you free

3. Seek direction.                                           The internet is washed with information. There is hardly anything you want to know that you won’t find the information online, just type ’how to….’ and you have options.  This might be a place to start from when exploring what to do but should never be the bus stop. God has an assignment for you that will create value for mankind through your job or business. Since He is the one that works in you both to will and to do according to His good pleasure, you are not going to leave Him out because He teaches you to profit and leads you in the way to go.

Where do you need direction now? Ask Him.

4. Time to build your fellowship with God. Fellowship is not relationship, it is more deeper. You might have a relationship with God but this is the time to build a strong fellowship with Him and let that father- son affinity be manifested. Spending time meditating in His words and praying (not prayer of demand) will help achieve this. In addition to strengthening the affinity, building your fellowship with Him also improves your hearing capability.

5. This is the time to wear your problem solving cap. Opportunities are problems in disguise. As a child of God, it is inappropriate to lose a job and be downcast. You have God’s grace and ability to solve the problem God has created you to solve. You create wealth in the process of solving this problem. Wearing face mask has been made mandatory in most states in Nigeria, this is just one of the opportunities created by the time that we are in. There are still many more opportunities that are disguised as problems, find one and be the problem solver.

Friends, this is an interesting time but never let the crisis go without you being a better version of yourself.

God bless you.

  3. Thank you sir. This is very insightful and inspiring. I am most interested in the fourth point, which is to build an better relationship with God, through fellowship. It’s good you emphasized the fact that fellowship is more intimate than relationship. It’s during these regular fellowships with our heavenly Father that those great problem solving ideas and inspired thoughts are birthed. Am speaking from a personal experience. I can enter this Father – son fellowship with with God, without any thing particular in mind, during my personal devotions and before you know it, great and inspired ideas begins to flow. It’s so powerful and real.
Thank you sir for stimulating our mind with your write ups.
May the good Lord continue to inspire and reward you, in Jesus name…

  4. Thanks for the comment Dennis.

    You are absolutely right.

There is nothing more God needs from us than fellowship because that is where everything else flow from!
