What Will Change after this Season?

The world has always made progress when men overcome a challenging time. The agricultural revolution for instance paved way for the industrial revolution when people discovered the power of steam engine. In the challenges of each time and season is the seed to birth the next level of progress.

Many of us would have realized by now that most of the things we spend our time and resources on are vanity as a result of the conditions Covid-19 has imposed on us. Our cars are now grounded because no where to drive them, we realize that we can hold business meetings and still have time for God and family (the discipline to spend time with God is another thing). The aggressive pursuit of money has slowed down, yet we are still breathing, just as much as we realize that we can stay at home and still get things done. Summer holiday is not so much on the minds of many at the moment and not because they don’t have the fund, but they realize survival comes first.

As we ponder on these things, we realize that vanity of vanities, all is vanity. Inherent in this circumstance is a seed to become a better Christian Employee

What type of change should this time and season produce out of us?

We are in the times like it was during Noah’s when people should be getting ready for the next season but refused to pay attention to the signs of the time.

We are in a season of spiritual alertness when we need to sanitize not just our hands but our hearts before God.

We are in a time in the world calling for another change. This time, we are not talking about technological, economical, political or social change. It is about how we individually approach spiritual things from this point forward.

The change required of us bothers on;

  • if we embrace the assignment given to us to go into the world and make disciples of nations or we treat it with levity
  • How focused we are on this assignment and how seriously we take it.
  • If we are ashamed of Him or not especially at our mission field- the place of work
  • If we continue our indomie prayer life or we realize that we need more fervency in prayer
  • Being self dependent or God dependent
  • Denying Christ or not when people you love turn against you because of Christ
  • Enjoying the pleasure of this world or carrying the cross of Christ
  • Being intimidated versus standing firm in faith when everything says otherwise
  • Being bluffed into silence by the threats of bullies or professing your faith
  • Standing up for God against world opinion or aligning with them
  • Going all the way with God or not
  • Being concerned first about looking after yourself or things that are important to God such as soul winning
  • Being overwhelmed with the work He has called you into or relying on His grace

We will not feign ignorance that we are in the end time, we must not be caught unprepared for His coming?

God bless you
